Université de Rennes 1 – LTSI

UR1-LTSI is a joint multidisciplinary research unit of the University of Rennes 1 and Inserm (U642). More than 90 persons are in LTSI, 90% of which are part-time or full time involved in research. One fourth of the staff is represented by cardiologists and surgeons. Its main location is in the scientific campus but a centre for innovation (CIC-IT) at the Rennes hospital has been set that allows working in medical environment for developing demonstrators and for the coordination of major multi-centre evaluation studies. A new pilot platform for image-guided and minimally invasive technologies, TherAImage, will be set at this centre within the next year.
