Creating a new identity verification service

IDENTOS has often provided custom identity verification solutions to our customers. We have decided to create a core identity verification service offering based on research and our target market. Identity verification services are often automated, and there is a gap in human-based evaluation of submitted identity evidence. These services allow existing verification processes to be done remotely and asynchronously

The identity verification service

• allows configuration of flexible verification workflows including, photo capture, video capture, form entry and information screens
• allows for identity and other data collection or eligibility checking use cases
• works with mobile and desktop browsers. It does not require a mobile application to be installed
• allows a verification started on the desktop to be transitioned and completed on a mobile device
• provides callbacks to the client on verification state changes
• allows configuration of flexible review questions
• allows client or IDENTOS-supplied human reviewers to process the queue of submitted verifications
• allows escalation and audit of verification submissions
• supports in-person verifications
• is offered as a fully managed service. Clients may bring their own blob storage to hold all evidence and sensitive personal data

Integration to a client is via API. This API allows the client system to create new verifications, redirect the user to the verification flow and retrieve the current state of a verification. The system allows a client to register a webhook URL to receive notification when the verification state changes.
