Project description

Cloud-computing, or the idea of accessing specialist computing applications or high-capacity storage in the cloud, is an established concept in large academic and international networks but suffers from a lack of trust among ordinary users. EASI-CLOUDS intends to develop a new, interoperable cloud-computing infrastructure based on open standards that will offer the necessary security of use and trust levels based on European data-protection standards.
